Begin your practice at dawn and meet the sun - a great way to start the day! Enjoy complete freedom to practice what you choose at your own pace, deepen your practice, and start becoming an independent, seasoned practitioner. Become your own teacher as you learn from yourself - your Inner Teacher. The teacher will help provide guidance and assistance whenever you need it. and of course, come meet other yogis and friends too!

4-Week Beginner's Intensive: Learn all the basic but essential breathing techniques, postures and alignment that will set the proper foundation of your practice - knowledge you could use over and over again! Please see the Course Outline as listed below.
4-Week Beginner's Intensive Course Outline Week 1: Breath awareness, basic breathing techniques, basic postures and alignment Week 2: Review of previous week's breathing techniques and postures, plus new postures focusing on standing and sitting postures Week 3: Previous week's review, new postures focusing on twisting and backbends Week 4: Summary of previous weeks, new postures focusing on inversions *Classes will be kept small for more effective communication / interaction *All classes will end with a short Q&A session where students can freely ask questions and exchange feedback |
Special Notes
Kindly book/reserve your space at least one day in advance by sms / via email.
It is important to keep your stomach empty before class. Please allow 2-3 hours after a heavy meal, and about 1-2 hours after a light meal before practice. If you are hungry then have a small piece of fruit or some yogurt 0.5 hour before class.
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for exercise - ideally stretchable cotton garments which allow freedom of movement.
Bring along a bottle of drinking water and a light, medium-sized bath towel as you will be sweating a lot! (drinking water is also available at the shala)
Please arrive 10mins earlier to prepare yourself before class begins.
Once inside the shala, please switch off your cell phone or turn it onto silent mode.
Please tell the teacher if you have any health conditions (including if you are menstruating or pregnant) or injuries before class begins.
Ask questions whenever you have queries and always listen to your body and react accordingly - never overdo until it hurts!
Most importantly is to keep an open mind, have fun and enjoy the experience!
